Switch (excerpt)

AN ACT OF ADOPTING ONE POLICY OR WAY OF LIFE

how slow the switch flips / the plastic dial / the rotary phone / devices weep inside / controlling a heart / against an ear / wrapped around a wrist to tell
linear time / emotion is not always digital

A CHANGE, ESPECIALLY A RADICAL ONE

watch the about-face / on / off / we in our separate chairs / then
in one bed / debating the politics of cuddling / every man loves
a leg thrown over him like a blanket
